Public lessons and worked examples
Learn shared foundations, then work with real industry materials.
Build a continuous shot table from a real film. Identify cuts and gradual transitions, group by visible setting, link only supported facts, apply rule changes and deliver a verifiable complete package for another unseen film.
Courses follow your selected language. Revisit the shared foundations as needed; each project below includes real material, practical tasks and a review.

The first five projects build skills; the last combines them on an independent source. Follow the sequence or revisit a project to revise.
Locate the first instructional frame of the new image after a hard cut and deliver inclusive shot intervals without gaps or overlap.
Use before, middle and after evidence to distinguish hard cuts, discernible dissolves, fades and within-shot brightness changes; record gradual transition intervals.
Group shots using the visible setting and explain why they belong together, remain separate or cannot be confirmed.
Link supported person and action facts across shots, limiting inferences about causality, simultaneity, gaze and mental states.
Apply the new rules to fix missing spans, gaps, overlaps, incorrect descriptions and affected references; retain verifiable differences between versions.
Combine shots, transitions, visible settings, factual relationships, rule-driven rework and unresolved handoff items. Audio and plot analysis remain outside this scope.
Advanced practice
Start by distinguishing action from cuts. Record shot changes, setting relationships and gradual transition spans separately, build a complete shot table, then revise and deliver work from two new films.
Course completion and independent delivery quality are verified separately. Keep work pending review when human references are not ready.
Use adjacent frames to distinguish within-shot action from an image discontinuity; judge before adding an event.
Record cut judgments separately from visible setting continuity. Do not use the plot to invent locations or causes.
Use before, middle and after frames to locate cuts and gradual transitions, combining transition intervals and surrounding shots into a verifiable record of the complete clip.
Build a complete, continuous, mutually exclusive and locatable delivery table using shot, transition and unresolved records.
Review the faulty draft and correct affected shots and the delivery version together.
Complete segmentation, change records, relationships and quality handoff without answer hints for these films.
Start with illustrated explanations, a complete demonstration and boundaries that are easy to misjudge.
Gradually remove hints while building linked records, correcting quality issues and reworking rule changes.
Deliver a complete package from an independent source, retain the first submission, then make targeted revisions.
