PRIVACY & DATA

Know which records are saved.

This page explains current data handling for Annotator learning features. Site access and third-party authentication also depend on the actual hosting and identity services.

Information saved for learning

Learning features store image boxes, selected labels, evaluation criteria, source quotations, free-text reasons and reasons for uncertainty, along with task versions, draft revisions, submission times, results, linked corrections and authorized review records. Reviews identify the actual reviewer and scope; AI reviews do not count as human reviews. Source exposure is also recorded to distinguish previously seen material from new material of the same type.

Browser credentials associate records with the current visit. After account connection, verified identity identifiers, email and display name establish account ownership. The display name can be edited on the account page.

Email verification code sign-in

When you choose email sign-in, the email address you enter and a verification code are sent to Resend to deliver your sign-in email. This website keeps verification records without storing the code itself. Codes are valid for 10 minutes. Resend processes the email delivery information.

Existing learning records and textbook purchases remain with the original account. To add a second sign-in method, first sign in to the original account, then explicitly add it on the account page. Using the same email address does not automatically merge accounts.

Browser sessions versus accounts

Without an account, records are isolated by browser session. Credentials last 30 days. Expiry, clearing or loss affects access but does not mean database records are deleted.

New attempts belong to the connected account. Old browser records join only after your explicit confirmation. Linking retains original submissions, versions, revisions and exposure and does not recreate evidence of first unseen exposure.

View and revoke sessions on the account page. Signing out ends that learning session, not every identity session on the hosting platform, and does not delete the account.

How records are used in the interface

Drafts restore answers, submission snapshots support feedback and review, and links distinguish first submissions, revisions and new material. Learning pages and record APIs require a valid session or account ownership. Review details are restricted to configured reviewers authorized for that case.

The public homepage uses independent teaching examples, not real learner answers. Learning features currently have no way to publish personal submissions as portfolios, rankings or marketing examples.

Free-text reasons are stored. A structured result does not mean semantic review has passed. Material and feedback quality are described inMaterials & result details。

Local caches & account sync for tutorials and notes

Tutorial progress, interview answers and self-assessments, and project notes save locally first. New changes sync after account connection; old guest progress requires confirmed import. Cloud APIs do not use browser response caches. Local backups are separated by account. On another device, cloud versions and explicit conflict notices govern continuation.

Signing out does not delete local caches. On a shared device, clear browser data as needed. After successful account deletion, this page clears that account’s synchronized cache in the current browser; other devices and exported copies must be managed separately. Account export and deletion cover cloud tutorials, interview answers and project drafts. Registration and online practice do not trigger automatic charges; textbooks are purchased separately as described on their page.

Learning preferences and survey

Content requests, goals and notes that you submit are stored under your registered learning account. The survey does not affect trial access or create a subscription, marketing consent or payment. Unsubmitted answers are not saved to the server.

You can edit responses on the free-trial page and retrieve the survey in your account export. Account deletion removes the survey with your account data. Backups and the minimal deletion ledger follow the rules described on this page.

Textbook orders and payment information

Textbook payments are handled on Stripe-hosted pages. This website does not receive or store full card numbers or security codes. We separately store the learning account identifier, textbook title, amount and currency, order and Stripe transaction identifiers, payment status and verification times to confirm purchases, restore access and handle refunds or disputes. Order information sent to Stripe includes textbook and order identifiers; Stripe processes the information you enter at checkout.

Textbook orders and Stripe records are not included in the current self-service export or deletion of learning records. Deleting a learning account revokes textbook access for that account but does not automatically delete order records. Contact the project owner through the help page about obtaining, deleting or retaining order records. This page does not promise an automatic deletion period that has not been configured.

Export, deletion & retention boundaries

Connected accounts can download their learning records as JSON. Export retains task versions, submission links and review context for personal use. It does not alter records or serve as certification or a public portfolio.

Account deletion requires typing DELETE and server confirmation. Related learning sessions are revoked; copies already downloaded to personal devices are unaffected.

After account and owned data deletion, a minimal ledger retains the internal account ID, deletion time and related session IDs to verify deletion during recovery and prevent old records from being reactivated. Existing backups are not erased simultaneously; retention, expiry and cleanup require operational configuration and verification.

Anonymous sessions have no self-service identity recovery after credential loss. Session expiry is not scheduled data deletion. Automatic retention, backup rotation and fuller recovery procedures require operational configuration and verification.

When you need to check a record

Give the submission ID, material version and specific issue to the person who invited you or raise it in project communication. Signing out, clearing the browser or temporarily missing records does not mean the server confirmed deletion.

This page provides no public support email or promised response time. Available actions are determined by the account page, learning page and actual server responses.
