Analytics privacy and preferences

We use first-party analytics to understand which pages and learning tasks are useful and to improve learning. Only site administrators can view the analytics.

Collection includes normalized page paths, public task IDs, navigation clicks, card impressions, foreground page dwell, active time, scroll depth and fixed learning interactions. Dwell counts visible time; active time also requires activity within 60 seconds. Learning interactions record the action type, without input content, and do not mean course completion. We do not collect answers, search terms, form content, raw IP addresses or full referrer URLs, and do not link analytics visitors to learning accounts.

Data and retention

A random cookie identifies the same browser for up to one year. A new session begins after 30 minutes of inactivity. Minimal visitor metadata, including first and last observation, is retained until one year after the last activity, then cleaned in batches. Reports use the last 180 days. Older records are cleaned in batches on later collection requests; physical deletion is not scheduled when there are no new visits. Another device or cleared cookies create a new visitor, so visitor counts are not a count of people.

Turning this off stops new analytics events and does not affect practice, learning records or your account. The preference is stored in this browser only.

Delete this browser’s analytics

Only analytics linked to the current cookie are deleted. Learning records remain. An older identity whose cookie was cleared cannot be recovered from this browser.
